PIERCETON SCHOOL MEMORIAL TRIBUTE
The Pierceton School Memorial Tribute is a physical expression of the Alumni Association’s commitment to perpetuating the legacy and heritage of the old Pierceton Schools that sat on the south end of Pierceton from 1870 to 2015. The Tribute includes the Alumni Plaza, which is a concrete walkway as well as the paver field that surrounds the Tribute. The paver field contains hundreds of engraved pavers that pay homage to alumni and friends of Pierceton School. While most of the pavers honor students who went to class in the building constructed in 1923, a few pay tribute to those who attend classes in the 1870 structure.
Exciting enhancements have now been made to the Memorial Tribute
The Association received a generous gift from an alumna that has allowed us to make major upgrades to the Tribute. We constructed a concrete walkway from the parking lot to the Alumni Plaza to permit easier access to the site. Along with the walkway, we added a new paver field on the west side of the Tribute to hold more pavers.
Also, we offer a heartfelt thanks to Marcia Smith Randolph (Class of 1963) for providing two beautiful floral displays in front of the Tribute. Mrs. Randolph has expressed her desire to replace the flowers annually, and we appreciate her gift.
