Pierceton School Alumni Association

ABOUT PSAA

The Pierceton School Alumni Association is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to preserving the legacy and heritage of the Pierceton School in Pierceton, Indiana.

Membership in the Association is not restricted to graduates of Pierceton High School, but is open to all persons who have ever attended any class in any grade in the old Pierceton School building that was constructed in 1923 and was demolished in 2015 to make way for the new Pierceton Elementary School. The Association also honors the staff and the students who attended and were graduated from the school building that stood on the same site from 1870 until 1921.

Association records from 1899 – 1923 can be reviewed here. We are working to digitize the records from 2014 – present and we’ll put them up as soon as they are available.

The Association has no membership fees and no requirements for members other than to be open to news about the old school buildings and the students who attended there, however briefly, in Grades 1 through 12. Since at least 1893, Pierceton School alumni have held a banquet every year (in May or June) to honor the graduating class from 50 years earlier. The Class of 1970 could not host their banquet in 2020 because of government mandates against gathering in groups during the Chinese virus outbreak. However, they joined with the Class of 1971 to host the 2021 annual banquet.

While the final graduating class left Pierceton High School in 1971, Pierceton students who were graduated with the Whitko High School Class of 1972 hosted the 2022 banquet. The PSAA Board of Advisors has appointed a committee to plan and host future banquets.
