Diana Gates Reinhart (Class of 1960) passed away February 13, 2019 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 76. She was born August 22, 1942, in Warsaw to Howard and Eleanor (Tenney) Gates. Diana, a longtime resident of Pierceton, married David Reinhart in 1972, and the couple celebrated 46 years of marriage. Diana served Pierceton Elementary School as a teacher.
Jayne E. Ashley (Class of 1965) passed away November 1, 2018 at Bridgewater Healthcare in hospice. Jayne was born in Warsaw, Indiana, to the parents of Howard (Bud) and Mary E. Ashley. Jayne was a career registered nurse in Indiana and Florida. She moved back to Indiana later in her career to be near family.
Roy L. Ousley (Class of 1965) passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at UP Health Systems in Marquette, Michigan. Roy was born to Homer and Lurannie Ousley on July 5, 1947 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. While at International Business College in Fort Wayne, he met Rebecca Gebert, and they married on August 17, 1968 in Larwill at the home of Becky’s parents.
Norma Leedy Engelberth (Class of 1949) passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on September 13, 1931 in Kosciusko County to Amsa Leedy and Mary Maria (McDonald) Leedy. On January 25, 1953 she married Ernest “Ernie” Engelberth, and they shared 65 years of marriage before he passed away on May 3, 2018.
Bill “Doc” Caudill (Class of 1952) passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 in Hospice House surrounded by his family. Bill was born on January 29, 1934 in Silver Lake to Homer and Golda (Stone) Caudill. On August 29, 1959 he married Ilarae Dorhauer, who survives him. He was employed with Associates Investment Company, M.O. Wolfe & Company, Bob Rans Wholesale and Michiana Delivery Service. Doc proudly served in the United States Army.
Gary W. Berlin (Class of 1967) of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Gary was born March 16, 1949 in Kosciusko County, a son of John Martin and Doris Lucille (Linn) Berlin. Gary faithfully served his Country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971 as Specialist 5 during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Indiana State Department of Corrections from 1977 to 2009, holding several positions and was ultimately the Program One Director for the North East Juvenile Facility, Fort Wayne.
Marilee Rager Bailey (Class of 1944) passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at in Millers Merry Manor of Warsaw. She was born April 15, 1926 in Pierceton to Paul and Henrietta (Williamson) Rager. On May 3, 1947 in Columbia City she married Lewis Bailey who preceded her on March 3, 1986. She was formerly employed by Pierceton Elementary School in Food service with 27 years of service. She was a Member of the United Methodist Church of Pierceton.
Edith Dill Menzie (Class of 1943) died Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born December 1, 1924 in Pierceton, a daughter of the late Lester and Mary (Sellers) Dill and attended Pierceton School all 12 years. Edith married Forrest “Si” Menzie on August 11, 1944 in Tampa, FL, Returning to the local area, Si and Edith made their home in the Larwill area.
RoseMary Conley Minnix (Class of 1965) passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at home surrounded by family. She was born June 8, 1947 in Warsaw, Indiana, and married Harold Minnix on July 5, 1988; he preceded her in death in 1993. RoseMary was a 1965 graduate of Pierceton High School. She retired from Whitley Products and went to work for Essex/United Technology/Coupled Products. RoseMary was an avid gardener and cook.
Rebecca White Davidson (Class of 1958) of Hawthorne, Fla. passed away at her daughter’s home in Sanford March 20, 2018. She was born July 6, 1941 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
